While British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 253 invitations to apply (ITAs) for general candidates, along with a minimum of 75 ITAs for targeted professions during November 28 draw, this time only over 188 ITAs have been issued for targeted professions. This was the first PNP draw for the month of December. The maximum invitations of 144 were issued for Skilled Worker; International Graduate category. While 32 candidates were invited for Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistant’s category and 12 ITAs were issued for the Healthcare category. Finally, fewer than 5 candidates received ITAs for the Other priority occupations category. Apart from Quebec and Nunavut all the other provinces have their own PNPs which enable these provinces to get the skilled labour that they require for economic development and fill the labour pool. PNP is set to surpass the Express Entry system as the primary economic immigration method by 2024.
